FAQ's

Q1: When was TelPlexus founded?
A1: TelPlexus was founded in 1998- and it began as it remains today, an engineering firm that has the ability to transcend challenging times while possessing the willingness to welcome the opportunities that accompany them.
Q2: Who does TelPlexus serve?
A2: Although it has been more than a dozen years since our humble beginnings, we still serve those that were with us then: the independents, cooperatives and competitive carriers. We also serve the local and federal governments, the utilities and any communications company applying for federal loans.
Q3: What are the key differentiators for TelPlexus?
A3: We are most known for our innovation, flexibility and industry know-how. Innovation: we invest in state-of-the-art equipment and training and we incorporate technologies not specific to the communications industry. We've found that exploring other industries is beneficial when looking at introducing new ways of performing an old task, such as incorporating aerial photography and LiDAR technology into our day-to-day order of business. Flexibility: we have experience with projects of varying sizes and complexities. Industry know-how: we are one of the nation's top firms in the broadband marketplace because we have years of experience and valued relationships, which we leverage to be a trusted resource for our clients.
Q4: How do you adjust to the constantly changing landscape of telecommunications?
A4: Change is inevitable- and to succeed, we must constantly scrutinize our customer-focused processes and evaluate them. This process is essential to long-term growth and success, for both TelPlexus and those we serve. Change is inevitable, however, if managed properly it can ear the results we all expect- success.
Q5: What is the RDUP Broadband Loan Program?
A5: The Rural Broadband Access Loan and Loan Guarantee Program is a program offered by the Rural Development Utilities Program (RDUP) to encourage deployment of broadband telecommunications services to rural America. The primary goal is to ensure that rural consumers enjoy the same quality and range of telecommunications services that are available in urban communities. This program will provide loans for the construction, improvement, and acquisition of facilities and equipment to provide broadband services to eligible rural communities.
Q6: What type of loans are available, as part of the RDUP Broadband Program?
A6: This program will offer three types of loans: Direct cost-of-money, Direct 4 percent, and Private lender.
Q7: Can these funds be used to overbuild an existing system?
A7: Yes, provided that the community to be served does not already have broadband services. If the incumbent telephone companies are not offering broadband services and no one has made a prior commitment to construct a broadband system, these funds can be used to overbuild a community.
